    About Google Drive

    Google Drive is cloud file storage. You upload files, open them from any device, and share them with edit, comment or view permissions. Drive opens Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, Microsoft Office files, PDFs and more than 100 other file types.

    Search uses your activity to surface the right file. You can annotate PDFs, scan receipts and documents into searchable PDFs from your phone, and sync files to a computer with Drive for desktop.

    Within Google Workspace, Drive also offers shared drives, and Gemini in Drive can answer questions using your files.

    Pricing: Every Google account includes free Drive storage, with more available through Google One. Businesses use Google Workspace plans (Starter, Standard, Plus and Enterprise), billed monthly or annually with a 14-day trial on the first three, and storage is pooled across the organisation.
