    About Dext

Dext is bookkeeping automation software. You send in receipts, invoices and statements by mobile, email, WhatsApp or desktop, and Dext reads the details and categorises them.

The data then syncs to your accounting software. Dext lists more than 36 accounting platforms, including Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage and Zoho, plus bank feeds from thousands of banks.

It also handles expense claims and approvals, and keeps original documents in a searchable vault. Business owners and their accountant can work from the same numbers.

Pricing: Dext is a subscription. Business plans scale with document volume and users, and accounting firms are priced per client. Prices are shown in Australian dollars excluding GST, and there is a 14-day free trial with no credit card needed.

    Why it suits tourism businesses

Tourism businesses collect a lot of small paper trails: fuel and supplier receipts, guide and contractor invoices, event costs. Dext gives your team one place to send them as they happen, so the bookkeeping is ready when your accountant or bookkeeper needs it.

Expense claims and mileage tracking in the mobile app suit staff who are out on tours or at events. Your accountant can see which documents are still missing.
