Step back in time and experience Ayers Cottage Burra, a historic cottage built in 1851. Originally a copper miner's cottage, it is named after Sir Henry Ayers, Chairman of the South Australian Mining Association and former Premier of South Australia. Ayers Cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway or for two couples wanting charming accommodation while exploring the historic town of Burra. The cottage features a cosy lounge with a flat-screen TV, DVD player and slow combustion log fire, a well-equipped kitchen, and a separate dining room with a bookcase of old books to enjoy. It also includes laundry facilities and a large bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside, guests can relax in the front garden, verandah areas, or use the gas BBQ. Located within easy walking distance of White Cedars Restaurant and St Just Café, Ayers Cottage is an ideal base to explore Burra and its surrounds. Guests receive a door code for access on the morning of check-in.
