    About Slack

    Slack is a workplace messaging platform. Your team talks in channels organised by topic, project or shift, and can jump on a huddle for a quick call.

    It also has canvases for documents, lists for tracking tasks, and Workflow Builder for routine steps such as approvals. Search covers messages and files, and Slack Connect lets you chat with partners and suppliers outside your own team.

    The Slack marketplace lists more than 2,600 apps, and Slack has its own AI assistant.

    Pricing: Slack has a free plan that keeps 90 days of message history and allows up to ten apps and one-to-one huddles. Paid plans (Pro and Business+) are priced per user per month and add unlimited message history, and Enterprise+ is quoted. The Australian pricing page shows prices in US dollars.
