Arkapena Scenic 4WD Tour

Our Arkapena tour is aimed at those who are looking for a 4WD adventure; your guide will take you out on our rugged 4WD tracks to explore Rawnsley’s 30,000 acres. As you drive across the station, you’ll learn about the geology of the Flinders Ranges, the history of pastoralism and Rawnsley Park Station, plus the many varieties of vegetation that grow in our semi-arid climate. As the track meanders through the foothills of the Chace Range, you’ll get stunning views out across Rawnsley Park and towards Wilpena Pound. Don’t forget to breathe as you make your way up the steep 4WD track to Prelinna Lookout – 680m above sea level, with spectacular 360-degree views of the Chace Range, the Elder Range, Wilpena Pound and Rawnsley Park Station. Morning or afternoon tea is provided.
