Observatory Tour

This exclusive, Advanced Ecotourism accredited, small group experience is for those who want to take an in-depth look into the mysteries of our night sky. For anyone with an interest in astronomy, the Observatory Tour is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience usually restricted to astronomers and scientists. Go truly intergalactic on this tour – visitors young and old will be enthralled to see the heavens light up with the energy of worlds that are light years away, ‘touring the universe’ under the best of conditions in Arkaroola’s accredited International Dark Sky Sanctuary. Visit one of Arkaroola's full-sized astronomical domes to view the stars, moon and planets. Tour capacity is limited to just 15 guests to give you the best experience. Arkaroola not only has one of Australia’s state of the art astronomical observatories, but enjoys some of the best astronomical ‘seeing conditions’ in the whole of the Southern Hemisphere with a night sky is free of atmospheric and light pollution. Tour runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 5 days after full moon to First Quarter Moon 1/4/26 to 31/10/26. May be available 1/11/26 to 31/3/27 with prior arrangement.
