Geraldton over fly
About This Service
Begin your tour with a scenic flight over Geraldton and out across the Indian Ocean to the spectacular Abrolhos Islands, a chain of 122 coral islands located around 65 kilometres off the Western Australian coast. The Abrolhos form the southernmost true coral reefs in the Indian Ocean and are one of the world's most significant seabird breeding sites. Divided into three main island groups, the region is home to vibrant coral gardens, abundant marine life, and frequent sightings of sea lions, dolphins, and seasonal whales. Fly over the Pelsaert Group before continuing north to the Wallabi Group, where you'll enjoy sweeping aerial views of the coral atolls and the infamous Batavia shipwreck site. Wrecked in 1629, the Batavia tragedy remains one of the most dramatic mutiny stories in Australian maritime history. After exploring the islands from the air, return directly to Geraldton Airport on a relaxing coastal flight.
